Electronic Scoreboards: Common Questions & Answers
Is there a remote control for the scoreboards?
All scoreboards are supplied with a remote control which has a range of over 150m thus making it the easiest scoreboard to control on the market.
What are the dimensions and weights of each scoreboard?
23 digit display, 2000m x 1240mm x 65mm and weight 50kgs
Can the scoreboard be controlled by a laptop/tablet for the Play Cricket App or Play Scorer Pro?
Yes, the scoreboard connects to any phone or tablet via Bluetooth. If you are using a laptop for Play Scorer Pro a USB lead can connect to the controller allowing you to automatically control the scoreboard ball by ball. You can find instructions on how to connect your cricket scoreboard and score in our Cricket Downloads section.
What power is needed to run the scoreboard?
All of our cricket scoreboards run on 230v mains power, however if you'd prefer your scoreboard to use 12v battery power, please contact us.
What are the scoreboards made of?
Each scoreboard is constructed using a fully welded 2mm think aluminium frame and casing. The outer case is then powder coated and all numbers are protected by 5mm thick unbreakable clear polycarbonate windows.
What is the main difference between the 22 and 23 digit scoreboards?
The 22 digit scoreboard comes equipped with a DLS score, if your league uses DLS. If you don't need DLS a digital clock is provided instead thus giving the scoreboard 23 digits rather than 22.
How do we mount the scoreboard?
We provide the option of using a trolley to mount the scoreboard, however they can also be wall or post mounted using brackets (sold separately).
A pack of four 40mm x 40mm x 80mm angle brackets are available to enable the scoreboard to be mounted on a wall or sign rails can be purchased to fix the scoreboards to previously prepared poles.
Use of a trolley means it can be stowed away easily for protection. Having a trolley increases the height by 350mm and width by 50mm. The overall depth to the outside of the wheels is 700mm allowing it to fit easily through a standard single doorway.
Is there any ECB funding available for these products?
ECB funding is available through the County Grants Fund but not solely for a scoreboard, it needs to part of a wider club digitisation project. For more information, please visit the ECB website.
Does the scoreboard come with a warranty?
Yes every scoreboard comes with a 2 year warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers all parts and labour required to remedy any manufacturing defects that may arise during normal use of the product.
